You knew he was gonna do it, and he done did it.
According to Billboard, Luke Combs sophomore smash, What You See Is What You Get, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 all-genre albums chart, the first of his career. The album earned 172,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. last week, of which, 109,000 were in album sales.
Luke is only the second country artist to top the chart this year (Thomas Rhett), but more than that, Luke just broke the streaming record for country albums in one week with roughly 74 million on-demand audio streams. The previous record was held by Gene Autry’s Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Other Christmas Classics with 43.71 million streams.
And, after taking home two CMA Awards, he capped off his massive sales week with a performance at ATLive last night, alongside Eric Church, Brothers Osborne and Caylee Hammack.
If anybody is crushing life right now, it’s Luke Combs.
