Earlier this spring, Baltimore-based DuClaw Brewing released a new beer infused with Fruity Pebbles and edible glitter. Titled “Sour Me Unicorn Farts,” the new sour ale was a collaboration with Baltimore’s Diablo Doughnuts and their Unicorn Farts donut, a vanilla-frosted donut dipped in Fruity Pebbles.
Unfortunately, they sold out almost immediately.
However, the brewery is bringing the fan favorite back next year. And they did it with a Lizzo-inspired announcement photo.
“We wanted to get the word out there in a creative way before distributor preorders in December,” said DuClaw Marketing Director Madeline Caldwell. “Recreating Lizzo’s genius Skittles bathtub post on Instagram was an idea we couldn’t pass up. A lot of people had to say yes to make this happen with a small budget, and we pulled it off. It was a lot of fun.”
Sour Me Unicorn Farts will be available for pre-order in December of this year, with an official launch set June 2020.
