Brantley Gilbert Picks The God-Awful “Fire’t Up” As Next Single

Hot off a #1 with “What Happens In A Small Town” featuring Lindsay Ell, Brantley Gilbert and his team have inexcusably selected the god-awful “Fire’t Up” (I can’t even spell “fire’t” without getting pissed off) as his next single.

Twitter was an absolute diarrhea shitstorm of epic proportions when Brantley recently performed the song on Monday Night Football – did ya’ll check the tweeter?

I need to say, there are some good songs on Gilbert’s album, Fire & Brimestone.

You have the title track on here with JAMEY JOHNSON AND ALISON KRAUSS and you give us this obnoxious caricature of a Brantley Gilbert party song the nod? Fuck me runnin’.

It’s so bad in so many ways, but I seriously can’t get over the contraction “fire’t.” Shit is driving me crazy.

There are other songs (pretty much the entire album) that would have made for a better follow-up single like the one mentioned above or “Bad Boy,” or “Man That Hung The Moon.” But hey, this is mainstream country music, and that’s the way it goes sometimes (most of the time).
