Eric Church Sees Little Girl’s Sign, Sponsors Her Jog-A-Thon, and Donates $10,000 To Her School

Between Luke Combs’ heart melting video from this morning and now this show of generosity from Eric Church, these Carolina boys are proving that country music is about so much more than just playing a few songs every night.

According to the Union Democrat, during his performance of “Pledge Allegiance to the Hag,” Eric Church spotted young Makenna Wallace in the crowd, holding up a bright green sign that said: “Will you sponsor my jog-a-thon?”

After the song concluded, Eric grabbed the sign and said:

“I will sponsor you for your jog-a-thon,” as the crowd erupted. “I like your shades by the way.”

But that was just the beginning…

Makenna ran 15 laps, about 3 miles, and earned $735 dollars for her Northern California elementary school. However, earlier this week, the school received an email from Church’s team explaining that he and his wife Katherine wanted to donate, and it should be credited to Makenna’s tally and the check was already in the mail. The amount of the check? A cool $10,000 bucks.

Stay classy Mr. Church.
