Tim McGraw Releases New Country/Rap Collab With Shy Carter – “Way Down”

Tim is back on the rap collab wagon, and this time, he enlisted the help of Shy Carter.

Yeah, I don’t know who that is either, but apparently, he’s a singer/songwriter/producer/rapper that has worked with country artists like Sugarland, Billy Currington, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw, among others in the pop world.

An ode to the South, “Way Down” leans on a swampy guitar riff with a little bit of blues flavor until Shy’s rap verse comes in near the end. The two performed the new song at the iHeartRadio Music Festival this past month.

I mean, it’s no “Over and Over” Tim and Nelly circa 2004, but it’s not the worst thing you’ll hear on country radio.
