Blake Shelton Announces ‘Fully Loaded: God’s Country’ – His 3rd Greatest Hits Records, Plus 5 New Songs

Welp, so much for the “I’m not doing an album anytime soon” approach that Blake Shelton was going for.

Earlier this year, Blake Shelton told Entertainment Tonight that he wasn’t up for putting out any more records. Similar to Rascal Flatts, Sheryl Crow and others, he was just looking to release singles, especially in this, the singles era of digital streaming.

“I don’t want to put out an album. I really don’t. I’m sure that at some point my record company people are going to pressure me into it, but as of now, I’m not putting out an album this year. I know that.”

Welp, the album came a pressuring and in the form of a third greatest hits album.

“Well, I knew the label would come up with some plan to release an album,” joked Shelton. “I’ve been vocal about how much I like this new way of releasing songs more frequently. It keeps me excited and gives me the opportunity to find the hot new song that I love and get it out to the fans quickly. I think they like it too. With five new songs on this album, you’ve got ‘God’s Country,’ ‘Hell Right’ and a few more that haven’t come out yet – maybe I wasn’t supposed to say that. But the fans will hear most of the music on ‘Fully Loaded’ before it hits the streets in December.”

The 12-song collection will feature some of Blake’s greatest hits, plus “God’s Country,” “Hell Right,” and 3 brand new songs. Fully Loaded: God’s Country is set for release on December 13th.
