Carly Pearce and Lee Brice Release New Duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” Co-Written By Luke Combs

Big Machine Records & Curb Records

This one has “hit” written all over it.

Carly Pearce and Lee Brice just released a new duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” which was written by Carly, Jonathan Singleton, Randy Montana, and Luke Combs. Those four writers did what they do best, crafting a song about love that’s moved on.

“I often gravitate towards the beauty and the break in Country music, probably why it’s always been my dream to experience the realness of life so openly. Writing ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ with Luke Combs, Jonathan Singleton and Randy Montana brought up sadness from the past but I truly hope there is happiness now. Thank you, Lee, for lending your unsurpassable voice to perfectly tell my story.”Carly Pearce

“Carly has such emotion in her voice, especially on a song like this, that’s really powerful. I’m honored she asked me to record this duet.”Lee Brice

Expect Carly Pearce’s sophomore album, the follow-up to Every Little Thing, to be released before 2020.
