I have good and bad news.
The good news is that Sturgill Simpson WILL be touring in support of his new album Sound & Fury, but unfortunately, it looks like he’ll be kicking things off next year in Europe.
Announced today, Sturgill’s Sound & Fury 2020 European Tour will launch on January 21st in Copenhagen, Denmark, and run through the end of the month. The jury is still out on whether or not he’ll tour in America, however in a recent interview, Sturgill did allude to the primary reason for making a record like this was to make something fun to play live.
“We realized the only way we’re going to get paid is to go play shows, so we might as well make it fun for us, and we made a record that was very fun for us. And then I can not wait to get out on the stage and play with my brothers.”
