It’s an ALL-GENRE #1 on iTunes for Craig Morgan‘s “The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost,” and he couldn’t deserve it more.
After saying the song might be the best-written in decades, Blake Shelton went on a Twitter crusade (literally over 20 tweets) to get Craig Morgan’s extremely heavy and emotional new single about his late son to #1. At first, Blake had his sights set on #1 in the Country genre, but as of this morning it finally reached #1 ALL GENRE.
Many big names joined in to help the song climb the charts, including Luke Combs and Ellen.
Simply put, it’s a great song, and you can’t help but love seeing people rallying behind something so meaningful. THIS is country music.
Ladies and gentleman one of the hardest things to ever achieve in music is having a #1 selling song of ALL music ALL genres. You can’t fake it. The song has to touch people. Congratulations @cmorganmusic. This ones for Jerry. pic.twitter.com/0oTeYplikj
