Whiskey? Apple Cider? A crisp September day? Say no more…
I’m just going to go ahead and say it… Mimosas pretty much suck. There I said it.
It might be nice to have one in the summer time every now and then, but who really wants to sip on cheap champagne that’s watered down with shitty 99-cent orange juice every weekend? Not to mention, just about every mimosa in the entire universe has way too much juice in it. No, it’s time to step it up and graduate to the “Fallmosa.”
The Fallmosa features apple cider, cinnamon whiskey, and a champagne and best of all, it’s actually good. Plus, just like a regular mimosa, they’re incredibly easy to make.
Here’s what to do:
Step 1: Get some cinnamon whiskey, NOT Fireball.
Step 2: Get some apple cider, some of the fresh stuff.
Step 3: Get some champagne, doesn’t the drier the better.
Step 4: Put ’em all in a cup and drink them.
Ideal ratio being 50% champagne, 25%, whiskey, 25% cider. Maybe throw a little cinnamon around the rim if you’re feeling fancy. It’s definitely strong, but something has got to keep you warm this fall. If you insist, drop the whiskey an ounce.
