Alabama Cancels 50th Anniversary Tour Due To Randy Owen’s Ongoing Health Concerns

That’s a bummer.

Alabama has officially canceled the remainder of their 50th Anniversary Tour due to ongoing health concerns with lead singer Randy Owen. The 69-year-old Owen has been battling migraines and vertigo, which have unfortunately rendered him unable to continue with the tour.

The ’50th Anniversary Tour’ has been very special to us. The support of the fans and their energy at all of our shows has led to some of the most fun we’ve ever had onstage,” said Teddy Gentry in a press release. “As disappointed as myself, Randy, and Jeff are to have to postpone this tour for all of our incredible fans, we know that Randy’s recovery is what is most important for everyone at this time. We would like to thank our fans, promoters, and venues and we look forward to seeing you all soon.”

The band kicked off their 50-city tour back in January and have canceled multiple shows already, however they are expected to reschedule all of the canceled dates as soon as Randy gets the green light from his doctor.
