If you haven’t had a chance to dive into Aaron Watson’s Red Bandana yet, stop what you’re doing and get on that. The album is phenomenal.
The entire album was written solely by Watson, which of course means you can expect some deeply personal stories to emerge in the songwriting. And, his new single “Country Radio” is exactly that. A tenderhearted love song about his parents dancing in the living room, listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio, and how Aaron used to watch them through the crack of his bedroom door.
Now, with a wife and three kids of his own, that ole love song is still part of their family legacy, and as he put it, “the soundtrack of my life.”
He also performed the new song at the Grand Ole Opry recently.
Whiskey Riff is the most entertaining country site…ever.
