Yesterday, we shared an article predicting that Miranda Lambert would announce her new album today, that it would be titled Wildcard, and that it would drop November 1st… Three for three. I thought the new song might be a title track, but as it turns out, it’s actually called “Bluebird.”Either way, we’re talking about breaking news people… Whiskey Riff is the place for it.
Anyways, Miranda announced today that her upcoming album Wildcard, featuring the her current single “It All Comes Out In The Wash,” will be hitting shelves on November 1st. Wildcard is also Lambert’s first run with producer Jay Joyce, who has produced albums for Eric Church, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Little Big Town, and more.
When people listen to this record, I want them to know that I see them and hear them. I feel you, because I’m just a girl from East Texas, writing about all the things that go on in my world and in the worlds of people around me. I want people to get along, you know, just be who you are, own it and move on from the moments you couldn’t live in.”
Lambert is gearing up to hit the road this fall for her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour, featuring support from Maren Morris, Elle King, Pistol Annies, Tenille Townes, Ashley McBryde and Caylee Hammack.
I dig the retro look of the album cover too.
In addition to announcing the album, she also released “Bluebird,” today, a new tune she co-wrote with Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby.
