I’ve been to Headquarters Beercade a few times, both here in Chicago and in Nashville, and I can’t imagine why anyone would want to burn it down, and on a Monday night of all nights. What do you got against free pinball?
According to the Tennessean, Nashville Metro Police, along with Nashville FD responded to call just before midnight last night regarding a potential arson suspect on Lower Broadway. Security footage showed 29-year-old Caroline Bradley lighting a piece of cardboard on fire and trying to light a plywood wall on fire, while the bar was open and patrons were inside. She succeeded.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the fire and bar employees were able to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived. Bradley was charged with one count of aggravated arson.
How drunk to you have to be to try and burn down the bar you’re standing in?
I mean, who knows what is really going on here. Maybe she had too much to drink and thought she would kick off bonfire season a little early. Maybe she had a rough go at Pac Man and was sick of the whole damn place. Maybe her ex-boyfriend worked there and she’s a lunatic. Maybe she thought she was a block over at FGL House… the possibilities are endless. All I know is that I have never been in a bar that somebody tried to light on fire and I’d be fascinated to know her reasoning.
