Erik Dylan’s “Fishing Alone” Hits You Like A Sledgehammer If You’ve Suffered A Tragic Loss, Carry Regret

Today, the incredibly talented Nashville singer/songwriter Erik Dylan released his new album, Bones of a Flatland Boy.

Bones of a Flatland Boy is a stripped-down, bare-bones, acoustic version of his 2016 album, Heart of a Flatland Boy. A standout song for me has always been, “Fishing Alone.” This one hits you like a sledgehammer if you’ve suffered a tragic loss, and carry some regret about not making enough time for that person.

It’s a flood of emotions.

Check out the new acoustic version.

The original version.

And here’s a live version from a couple years back.
