Cody Jinks Reads The Names Of Fallen Soldiers After “Holy Water” Performance: “I Don’t Know If I Can Do It Without Crying”

What a powerful moment the other night in Richmond, Kentucky.

During his performance of “Holy Water,” a fan appeared to hand Cody Jinks a bracelet with the names of a few fallen soldiers written on it. Cody graciously took the bracelet and put it on before finishing his performance.

At the end of the song, a clearly choked up Cody attempted to read the names on the bracelet before pausing to collect himself.

“I don’t know if I can do it without crying,” Cody said and put the bracelet back on wrist, but then, stepped back to the mic and read the names, honoring three members of the United States military that were killed in action in Iraq.

Chills.
