What a way to honor a friend.

A Texas teenager mowed this American flag into his front yard recently to honor his friend that was killed in the military. According to NBC Dallas 17-year-old Cameron James, said one of his friends was killed while on duty for the Army last week in Arizona.

“Our mower has different settings, so I just changed the settings so the grass would be different lengths for the stripes,” said James.

He used a weed whacker to mow the stars into the lawn, with the whole project taking him about 4 hours. Damn, 4 hours of mowing in that July Texas heat? Respect.

“It was a lot of work,” James said. “But it was worth it.”

With the 4th of July this week, James also wanted to demonstrate has patriotism during the holiday.
