The breakfast beverage you didn’t know you needed.
Today, the good folks at Pabst Blue Ribbon introduced us to their new PBR Hard Coffee, a 5% ABV iced-coffee beverage.
“Pabst Blue Ribbon has always been a brand that pushes boundaries and celebrates those who experiment and try new things. Hard Coffee is an opportunity for us to pioneer a delicious and fun new drink, and give America something unique. We hope everyone loves it as much as we do,” said John Newhouse, brand manager at Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Look, it’s alright to admit that nobody asked for this, literally nobody, but a good idea is a good idea, right?
I mean, think about all the occasions that call for a breakfast buzz, but all of those very same occasions where a beer just isn’t going to do the trick. You have to sit through a 6-hour work conference, you have a 8am flight and don’t have time to stop at the bar before you board, it’s St. Patrick’s Day and you want to start drinking at 6am, but not before you’ve had your coffee, it’s Monday and you still need to shake the cobwebs from Sunday Funday… maybe it’s just Tuesday and you want to get drunk in the morning, whatever your reasoning, PBR has got what you’re looking for.
Heineken is over here trying to sell me on non-alcoholic beer, meanwhile PBR is saying, “hey why don’t you just get drunk in the morning too?”
