Written by Brandon Kinney and Josh Thompson, the country heartbreak tune offers a up a subtle nod to the great George Strait and his 1984 hit “The Cowboy Rides Away.” The Cowboy Rides Away was also the name of Strait’s farewell tour back in 2013-2014.
