Luke Bryan Closes CMA Fest With “Livin’ On A Prayer,” Reminds Us There’s Only One JON BON JOVI

Don’t get it twisted. There’s only one person that can sing this song.

First, let me give Luke Bryan a little credit for trying to cover one of my favorite Hair Band/80’s songs of all time, “Livin’ On A Prayer.” An absolute unit of a song that will be screamed out by drunks until the end of time.

The song has been covered a million times – from karaoke bars, to reality singing shows, to showers and house parties. Luke wanted to end CMA Fest on a rocker. Give the crowd something to remember.

The problem is, that song is Bon Jovi.

Just look at Jon here. Feathered bangs. Dad hair. Hairy chest teased with the classic vest/no-shirt look. In order to sing that song, and do it justice, you better hit every note (which Luke admits he probably won’t do in the intro), and look like a dad you’d run into at a county fair.

Luke gave it his all, but there’s only one Jon Bon Jovi.

Melt your face right the fuck off with this.

Same, Luke, same.
