Brett Young Reflects Back On Baseball Career In New “Catch” Music Video

“Man plans. God laughs.”

Brett Young always planned to be a professional baseball player until an elbow injury forced him chase another dream, one that seems to have turned out just fine. The music video for his new single “Catch” finds Brett reliving his college baseball days at Ole Miss University, a place that holds a lot of special memories for Brett.

“My wife and I got engaged in Oxford, Mississippi and our families spent Thanksgiving together last year. It’s a special place for us and hopefully will be to our baby girl, too. I’m looking forward to taking her to her first baseball game for sure,” he tells CMT.com

“It was definitely bittersweet, but almost felt full circle too. It was pretty special to be back there for a music video, the past meeting the present.”

Morale of the story: if your career as a professional athlete goes south, pick up the guitar. You might become the next Sam Hunt, Chase Rice, Garth Brooks, Brett Young… the list goes on.
