NASCAR Community Mourns The Death Of Brenda Jackson, The Mother Of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

It’s a sad day in the NASCAR community as they mourn the loss of Brenda Jackson.

Brenda Jackson, a longtime employee at JR Motorsports and mother of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kelley Earnhardt Miller, has passed away following a battle with cancer. She was 65 years old.

According to JRMRacing.com, Jackson became an instant favorite to her friends and colleagues at JR Motorsports when she joined the company as an accounting specialist in 2004. Her sarcastic musings and straightforward approach injected a brand of humor at JR Motorsports that became part of its fabric as it grew into a full-time NASCAR racing operation in 2006 and a championship-winning organization in 2014.

She married NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. in 1972.

Back in 2017, SportsCenter asked Dale Jr. to write a Mother’s Day letter to his mom, and then surprised him when she was actually in the building when he read it.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Earnhardt family.
