Carls Jr. To Launch First Fast-Food CBD-Infused Burger On 4/20 For Price Of (Shocker) $4.20

A burger with a bite taken out

Was only a matter of time.

Carl’s Jr. will become the first fast-food franchise in the United States to launch a CBD-infused burger and shocker… it will be making its debut in Denver, Colorado, on April 20th. Named the “Rocky Mountain High Cheese Burger Delight,” the burger features two beef patties, pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, fries, and CBD-infused Santa Fe Sauce.

The price? You guessed it, $4.20.

However, according to Business Insider, this isn’t just a one-day publicity stunt. Patty Trevino, Carl’s Jr.’s senior vice president of brand marketing, says that Carl’s Jr. will be monitoring sales and customer and franchisee responses, and if all goes well, Trevino said, expanding the test remains an option — with the possibility of one day rolling out a CBD-infused burger across the US.

“If anyone is going to do it, I would want Carl’s Jr. to do it,” Trevino said of the prospect of launching a CBD-infused menu item nationally.

CBD is a non-psychoactive ingredient found in cannabis, meaning that it doesn’t get you high, but still offers some of the benefits of marijuana such as aiding with anxiety, depression, acne, and pain relief.
