Tyler Childers Performs “Lady May,” Discusses The First Time Heard John Prine

When it comes to modern-day country music songwriting, few can hold a candle to Tyler Childers.

In this series of videos filmed backstage at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse from Sixthman Sessions, Tyler demonstrates his unique skill in the form of an acoustic performance of his song “Lady May,” along with a quick discussion on the first time he heard one of his biggest influences, the great John Prine.

Childers will also be performing at John Prine’s All The Best Fest in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, later this November.

Watch Tyler discuss the first time he heard John Prine.
