Whoops…

According to the Tennessean, a man was arrested on Lower Broadway this past Wednesday after he dropped a loaded gun on the dance floor of Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse.

A bar patron found the gun on the dance floor and turned it into the staff who called the police. When a man, later identified as Thomas J. Cain, 47, of White Oak, Pennsylvania, asked if anyone had turned in a handgun, he was subsequently arrested. Cain told officers he had been drinking at the bar while armed with the gun and that it must have fallen out of his waistband. Cain was charged with possession of a firearm while under the influence.

Jeez guy, who carries a gun down to Broadway on a Wednesday? And then loses it? I’d like to think that if I was carrying a gun into a crowded bar, a celebrity-owned bar full of tourists no less, I’d at least have the wherewithal to me keep an eye on it. But hey, that’s what happens with the music takes over… “Bawitdaba” comes on and the next thing you know you’re out on the dance floor, burning a hole in it, and you can’t find your handgun.

Moral of the story, don’t lose your gun. Oh, and maybe invest in a holster… idiot.
