An incredible songwriter in his own right, Tyler tipped his cap a while back to one of the greatest we have, Jason Isbell, with this performance of the Drive-By Truckers’ “Goddamn Lonely Love.”
Allegedly a love song written for his ex-wife Shonna Tucker, the song is completely heartbreaking and deals with the loneliness that comes with love, AKA the perfect country song.
Tyler does this some serious justice.
