In her hard-hitting new release “Pretty Shiny Things,” Kassi challenges the societal, or in her case, parental pressures to look and act like everything is perfect, despite the pain on the inside.
“3 years ago, this song was there for me in the middle of the night. Like a diary entry that was writing me, not me writing it,” says Kassi. “It has silently waited, given guidance, and reminded me that honest art is the best art. I’m honored to be passing it along to whoever needs it now.”
Kassi will be hitting the festival circuit this summer with appearances at CMA Fest in Nashville, Hometown Rising in Louisville, Country Concert in Ft. Loramie, and Country LakeShake Fest, right here in Chicago. If you get the chance, go see her. You won’t regret it.
