Whiskey Riff Madness 2019: The Ultimate Country Music Tournament

Logo, company name

It’s that time of year again.

March Madness is upon us, and in the spirit of the most exciting few weeks in college sports, we’re getting in on the fun with a tournament of our own. Voted on by you, the fans, we’re simply looking for the best artist in country music.

The idea of picking 64 country artists sounds pretty easy at first, but the reality is that there is way more deserving artists than that. However, just like the real March Madness tournament, not everybody gets in. Since our artists can’t earn their own way, we used a tried-and-true method of determining which bubble artists punched their ticket to the dance… a good old-fashioned coin flip. So if your favorite artist, artists like Mitchell Tenpenny, LANCO, RaeLynn, Colter Wall, Abby Anderson, and others didn’t make it this year, they just lost out in a very grueling round of coin flips. Better luck next year. Unless however, you’re Zac Brown. After that god-awful rap song, we just couldn’t in good conscience let him steal a spot from a more deserving artist.

Can Eric Church defend his title this year? Will some unsuspecting dark horse ride deep into the tournament? We’re about to find out.

Voting for the Round of 64 is officially LIVE and remember you can vote again, every 5 minutes until the voting closes on Saturday March 23rd at 3am CT. Voting for the Round of 32 will begin shortly thereafter at 5am CT. Voting for each round will mirror actual NCAA tournament play, with the Final Four starting on April 6th.

May the odds be ever in your favor.
