Few Songs Can Stop You In Your Tracks Like Jamey Johnson’s “In Color” Still Can

Last weekend, I was listening to our Modern-Day Outlaws playlist, when Jamey Johnson’s “In Color” came on.

No doubt, a song that many of us have heard 20, 30, 50, even 100 times or more, but no matter what, every time you hear it, it just stops you in your tracks.

A while back, we posed this question to our Twitter followers… “In Color” was mentioned more than a few times.

Somehow, the song only peaked at #9 on country radio back in 2009, but it did go on to win an ACM Award for Song of the Year, along with two Grammy nominations.

Is it the best country song of all time? Who knows, it’s hard to say. But if one thing’s for sure, when that song comes on, it has the power to instantly grab your attention, stop you in your tracks and remind what truly great country music really is.

So in my book, yeah, it’s one of the best ever.
