Michael Ray Covers Randy Travis’ “He Walked On Water” In Honor Of His Grandfather Amos

Few young artists in country have the appreciation, and the knowledge of old country classics that Michael Ray has.

During Michael’s last visit to the Ryman, he performed a song near and dear to his heart, “He Walked on Water,” by Randy Travis.

“It’s a song that I played at my mom’s dad’s funeral service, it was played at my great grandfather’s service, and it’s always been a song ever since my grandfather Amos, who taught me about the Opry and about artists like Randy Travis, ever since he’s passed it just kind of paints that perfect picture of who he was and just that country way of living.”

Goosebumps.
