Nashville band Judah & The Lion is teaming up with Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves for their latest release “Pictures,” a heartbreaking story about the destruction of lead singer Judah Akers’ own family.
“I had a really deep moment with my mom when she called me and broke down bawling about how hard it was to move from our family house,” says Akers in a press release. “I wrote the song from her perspective and it came in a flood, in five minutes, right after the call. I needed to write it because I was heartsick.”
The band’s upcoming album Pep Talks is set to drop on May 3rd.
