The plot thickens…
On the heels of saladgate, Miranda Lambert took to Instagram this past Saturday to announce her marriage to Brendan McLoughlin, a New York City police officer from Staten Island. However as more and more details about Brendan emerged, it was revealed that he met Miranda in November during a taping of Good Morning America, just a few days before the birth of his son with another woman.
So Miranda Lambert is a stepmom, seems pretty quick, but what’s the big deal?
Well apparently, the big deal is that Brendan McLoughlin may have been living a double life.
According to multiple reports, including one in Page Six, Brendan McLoughlin was engaged to be married to a woman named Jackie Bruno, however he impregnated Manhattan attorney Kaihla Rettinger, a girl he was seeing behind her back.
“She was engaged to Brendan and he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant,” mother Carol Bruno told the Radar Online. “It’s all true.”
Jackie was in Sweden for a soccer tournament when an injury forced her to return home early. It was then that Rettinger told Bruno that her fiancé had been living a double life.
“The girl contacted her. Jackie was in Sweden playing professional soccer, got injured and came home and the girl contacted her,” Carol explained. “She broke the news to her.”
So he was engaged to one girl, impregnates his mistress, meets Miranda three days before his son with said mistress is born, and then marries Miranda less than 3 months later. It was also revealed today via TMZ that the couple will have a long-distance marriage for the time being.
Doesn’t sound good does it…
