Oh no… I was SO looking forward to kicking off the new year with this…
CMT has reportedly postponed the debut of Racing Wives, their new behind-the-scenes look into the first ladies of NASCAR. Originally set to air on January 3rd, the shows premiere date has been pushed back to a later date and a spokesperson for CMT has confirmed that there’s no information on a future premiere at this time.
Not good.
I mean, as far as over the top reality shows go, I’m sure this beats the hell out of watching the Kardashians, but still, can’t say that I’m mad about it. Instead of Racing Wives, CMT should fill that time slot with a non-stop feed of Alan Jackson music videos. You know, get back to giving the people what they want.
According to CMT, Racing Wives will feature sisters-in-law Ashley and Samantha Busch, married to world-famous driver Kurt and Kyle Busch, will star alongside Whitney Ward Dillon, a former cheerleader now married to Daytona 500 winner Austin Dillon. Mariel Lane, Whitney’s BFF and cheerleader ride-or-die, will star in the series as well. Also featured is Amber Balcaen, an aspiring NASCAR driver new to the racing community who left everything, including her boyfriend, back home in Canada to chase her dreams.
