Polar Vortex? Psh.
It might be freezing outside, but it’s sunny and warm inside Nashville’s newest indoor water park.
The new SoundWaves water park at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center recently opened, with the outdoor part of the park expecting to open later this summer.
The water park features an adults-only infinity pool, multiple restaurants, cabanas for rent, children’s play areas, tubing rides, group rafting loops, and a Crowd Surf FlowRider ride that allows hotel guests to surf.
Music is played throughout the facility and tailored to the rides, such as party music for the rapid-river and tubing rides, and easy-breezy beach music on the lazy river.
The outdoor section is expected to open in May, featuring a massive Tidal Track Wave pool.
