It’s safe to say that many of country music’s best, including these three gentleman, wouldn’t be playing country music if it wasn’t for Merle Haggard.
In honor of the all-time classic “Okie From Muskogee” going platinum back in 1991, Cody Johnson, William Michael Morgan and Mo Pitney came together to honor Merle with a cover of the lauded tune.
“I think the world was a better place for him, so here’s to the Hag” says Cody Johnson.
And, he ain’t lying.
