8 “New” Artists Poised For A Monster 2019

2018 flew by.

It’s time to look at the next wave of country artists poised to have a MONSTER 2019. Like always, there’s going to be confusion and grey area for what constitutes “new.”

We got a ton of responses on Twitter (@WhiskeyRiff) when we asked the fans who their pick was for a new artist set to have the biggest 2019. Some people don’t read. Others get really generous with the word “new.” We had to draw the line somewhere, to some extent, based on where people were in their careers.

** Disclaimer: Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, and Ashley McBryde are NOT considered “new” for this post.

Here are 8 artists set to have a MONSTER 2019.

Abby Anderson

One of the best debut singles of 2018.

Koe Wetzel

Texas well-represented.

Lainey Wilson

Lainey has that “it” factor.

Muscadine Bloodline

Their newest single, “Enemy,” stops you in your tracks.

Kassi Ashton

Swagger, and unlike any artist out there right now.

Riley Green

Things really took off after Riley joined us on our podcast (I kid, I kid). But seriously, this guy has it all, and puts on a killer live show.

Morgan Wallen

Going back to that Twitter question I mentioned, no name was mentioned more than this dude right here.

Big. Mullet. Energy.

Tyler Childers

Songwriting that stretches past the boundary we consider great. Childers is a once in a lifetime kind of artist.

Fans of traditional country know this, but I’m pleading with the people out there that only listen to mainstream country to listen to artists like Tyler. You need this music in your life.
