With the legalization of marijuana in many states, and others short to follow, companies are beginning to explore new ways to capitalize on this emerging market. According to the Columbian, Anheuser-Busch and the medical cannabis company Tilray signed a $100 million deal to research cannabis-infused drinks for the Canadian market. Each will invest $50 million in the project to study non-alcoholic drinks containing cannabidiol, or CBD, which some claim has calming and healing affects, and THC, the cannabis compound known for its psychoactive effects.
