Luke Combs’ “She Got The Best of Me” Becomes This Year’s Only 4-Week No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart

You know the phrase…

“Freight train of momentum.” I like using that when describing a force so powerful, nothing can stand in its way.

That’s Luke Combs’ career right now. He just hit another milestone as “She Got The Best of Me” remains at the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for the fourth-straight week — this year’s only 4-week #1 Billboard Country Airplay song.

Combs is the first solo artist to score four consecutive career-opening #1’s on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart following 3x platinum “Hurricane,” 2x platinum “When It Rains It Pours” and platinum “One Number Away,” which all appear on the deluxe version of This One’s For You out now on River House Artists/ Columbia Nashville. Since its release June 2, 2017—75 weeks ago—This One’s For You has spent a total of seventeen non-consecutive weeks at #1, including thirteen weeks in 2018—the most of any album this year.

In continued celebration of his groundbreaking year, Combs will perform at this week’s 2018 CMA Awards where he is nominated for two awards: Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on ABC live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 14 at 8/7c.
