Long gone are the days of Saturday Night Live when comedians like Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and John Belushi graced the staged.
This past weekend, SNL’s Pete Davidson thought it would be funny to mock Dan Crenshaw, a former United States Navy SEAL, who lost his right eye to an IED explosion back in 2012.
If you missed it, you can watch the tasteless clip below.
On NBC's Saturday Night Live, Pete Davidson mocks GOP Congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw for losing his eye in war: “You may be surprised to hear he’s a Congressional candidate from Texas and not a hitman in a porno movie. I’m sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever.” pic.twitter.com/krQwesqLAV
Dan, who also happens to be running as the Republican candidate for Texas’ 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, responded to Pete and the rest of the SNL cast yesterday, and rather than demanding an apology, he schooled them with a lesson on using wounded veterans as the punchline of their bad jokes.
I don’t know his politics and I don’t care, but this was one hell of a response.
