“First rule of Fight Club, you do not talk about Fight Club.”
Well somebody at the Adventure Learning Center in St. Louis, Missouri, talked about Fight Club, in fact filmed these toddlers being encouraged to knuckle up at day care.
According to NBC News, Nicole Merseal said her then-4-year-old son, and another child were instructed by teachers Mikayla Guliford and Tena Dailey, to punch and hit each other at the Adventure Learning Center in December, 2016, according to the suit filed earlier this year.
“I meant for the fighting with the Hulk Hands to be a stress release exercise,” she said. “It did not last more than three or four minutes.”
However, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute the teachers, citing not enough evidence to prove a crime was committed here.
Stress release? You gotta love that.
Imagine a tough deadline at the office, major project due, morale is low and we all definitely need to blow off a little steam. How about the whole office circles up, you and Kevin in accounting put on the gloves and throw hands for a little “stress release exercise.” Sure, Kevin doesn’t have teeth anymore, but hey this company has great employee benefits and, you know what, I do feel better, in fact, the whole office feels better because Kevin is kind on an ass clown anyway.
Stress relieved, problem solved, and these kids are learning a valuable lesson in humility, so what’s the problem?
We’ve gotten soft, that’s the problem. Marshmallow soft.
