Eric Church Records The Robin Hood Classic “Oo De Lally”

According to Urban Dictionary, “oo de lally” means “excitement brought on by any rousing game of badminton, birthday parties, archery, tax collecting, kissing older women, and successfully trespassing on the property of royalty.”

If you’ve seen the 1973 animated classic Robin Hood, you know exactly what that means.

“Oo De Lally” was originally recorded by Roger Miller for the movie, but for King of the Road: A Tribute to Roger Miller, Eric Church recorded his own incredible version of the childhood favorite.

Take a listen.

Here’s the original by Roger Miller.
