Hurricane Irma Leaves 4,000 Stranded At Sea, But Don’t Worry, They Have “Unlimited Booze”

Hurricane Irma has been devastating for many, but for some cruise ship patrons, it’s been a wild ride.

What began as a trip from Miami, through Mexico and Central America, has resulted in being stranded at sea with no end in site. On the way back to Miami, Hurricane Irma made it too dangerous to port in Miami, forcing the Norwegian cruise ship, ironically named the “Escape,” to turn around and head back into open waters.

With no idea of when they will safely be able to return, one guest reports, “They’ve been very clear that they’re not going to run out of food. They’re not going to run out of water,” she said. “They’re not going to run out of booze – very important – and so we’re just going to stay on and enjoy the ride.”

You’d be surprised how easily the words “unlimited booze” can turn a bad situation around.
