Shania Twain Finally Explains Why She Threw Shade At Brad Pitt Back In 1997

“That don’t impress me much.”

If you’re unfamiliar with Shania Twain’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” are you OK? The iconic song is fun and catchy, but it also throws a little shade at Hollywood icon Brad Pitt.

The lyrics say “OK, so you’re Brad Pitt? That don’t impress me much.” Apparently, she was talking about his nude photos. When Billboard mentioned Brad Pitt during a recent interview with Twain at Spotify HQ in NYC, she finally gave us the scoop on why she used his name.

“I was writing this album and there was a scandal of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Paltrow] where there was naked photos of him. And this was like all the rage. I just thought ‘I don’t know what all the fuss is about.’ I’m like, well that don’t impress me much, I mean what is all the fuss.”

Ouch, Shania! Don’t come at a man’s manhood! But she later refuted her statement. According to E!’s Daily Popshe went on to say that “lasik eye surgery wasn’t invented until ’99” so maybe her cataracts inhibited her from seeing the whole thing?

I love this and I love Shania Twain.
