Whiskey Riff Song of the Week: “Nice Things” by Mickey Guyton

What. A. Voice.

What. A. Song. We’ve been championing Mickey Guyton from day one of Whiskey Riff; we just love her voice. It’s a powerhouse voice, it’s immense talent, it’s country music through and through.

Her newest single, “Nice Things,” is a show-stopper. It’s a beautifully written ballad, carrying with it meaning and substance. Major props to Mickey, Liz Rose and Stephanie Chapman for writing this one.

“I am priceless, don’t you know / But you broke me even so / Shiny gold and diamond rings / Your mama always said you can’t have nice things.”
