JJ Watt is just one of those all around good guys you really can’t help but root for, no matter what team he’s on. The Texans defensive end was getting ready for practice in Houston this week when he and his teammates spotted some out of towners.
The young boys were from Delaware and had traveled all the way to Texas for that moment. Well, according to JJ’s Facebook post, they definitely got what they came for.
“Everyday before practice, the DLine plays 4 square to get loose. The other day, a couple of the guys spotted this boy and his sign out at practice very early, far before most fans had arrived. His family drove down from Delaware and showed up to practice extra early just to watch us play 4 square and possibly get a round in himself. We brought him into the game and quickly found out he wasn’t messing around. He eliminated one of his opponents with his very first hit. (We won’t say who he eliminated ::cough cough:: Cov ::cough cough::) After his turn had come to an end, the guys gave him high fives and he went back to his family. The pure joy and excitement that he brought, even for that short amount of time was such a brilliant reminder that this is all so much bigger than just a game. To every fan that wears our jersey, to every kid who pretends to be their favorite player in the backyard, to everyone from every part of the world who supports us, thank you. We hear the cheers, we read the fan mail, we see the social media posts. We appreciate all of your support and we realize how fortunate we are to be able to play this game for a living.
