Carrie Underwood’s Husband Mike Fisher Announces Retirement From NHL

Thanks, Mike.

If you know anything about Carrie Underwood, you know she is the Nashville Predators biggest fan, even before her husband Mike Fisher was on the team.

This morning (August 3), Mike Fisher, 37, penned a heartfelt letter to Predators fans to announce his retirement after a 17 year career. It’s a long one, so head to the Predators’ site if you want to read the whole thing.

“This job I’ve been able to have for a majority of my life is so much fun. To help create that entertainment and to see the joy we can bring to people is such a unique and exciting opportunity. I’ll miss my teammates, my coaches and the game itself.

This is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but I know I’ve made the right one. I’ve decided to retire from the NHL.”

Wife Carrie Underwood also shared a proud message to her hubby on Instagram. Congrats on retirement, Mike!
