Don’t Throw Away Your Beer Caps, Make Them Into Coasters

So simple.

Alright all of you alcohol lovers out there, this one’s for you. Instead of throwing your beer caps, put them to good use.

Some people think coasters are stupid, but if I drops hundreds of dollars on a coffee table, you bet your ass I’m using a coaster.

Make these DIY beer cap coasters to impress your guests at your summer parties. They are way too simple to make, so let’s get started…

A kitchen with a sink and a toaster oven

What you’ll need:

  • Concrete mix (find these at any home improvement store)
  • An assortment of beer caps, don’t use any bent ones
  • A mold of some sort (can be as simple as using a shallow Tupperware container)
  • Toothbrush
  • Contact paper

# simple steps:

  • Mix your concrete according to the instructions on your mix
  • Place the contact paper in your mold (if you’re using a mold your concrete would stick to)
  • Instantly pour the concrete into your mold and place the beer caps in your pattern of choice
  • If concrete gets on top on your beer caps, I recommend using an old toothbrush to brush it off so it doesn’t dry on your caps
  • Wait the recommended amount of time on your mix before trying to remove from your molds
