Predators National Anthem Singer Is Pissed Country Singers Are Stealing His Job

Tough break.

According to the Tennessean, Dennis K. Morgan, who started singing the “Star-Spangled Banner” 17 years ago, said he’s pretty unhappy about being replaced by Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Lady Antebellum and others during the Preds playoff run this year.

“I’m not going to hide my disappointment and I told the Predators that I have been asked the same question over and over and it’s just really getting old,” Morgan said. “Everywhere I go — obviously at my day job (as a healthcare IT recruiting manager) and at (Bridgestone) arena as well as everywhere else I go to church, grocery stores, on the street, in meetings and in restaurants — people want to know how I feel.”

You know what though, it’s about the name on the front of that jersey, not the name on the back Dennis K. Morgan. Nashville is on a roll, looking to make the cup finals for the first time in, I don’t know, EVER and you’re throwing a temper tantrum because major country recording artists are stealing your thunder in a city built on country music?

C’mon bruh. I bet when they win, you won’t be giving that ring back.
