To The Girls That Love The “Outlaw” In Us Even When We Don’t Know How

“Outlaw In Me” is for all us guys out there.

The song from one of the biggest bad asses out there, Brantley Gilbert, paints quite the picture. It is one of my favorites off Brantley’s new album, The Devil Don’t Sleep.

A person holding a trophy

This is a song that we can all relate to, especially if you’re blessed to have a woman in your life. As guys, it’s what we do; we have the nights out with the boys where we raise some hell and wake up wondering what we did the night before and how the pizza sauce stains got on our clothes. Flaws are something we all have in common as humans. We don’t all share the same ones but they’re there in each person in different ways, some temporary, some forever lasting. Acknowledging your flaws and working to change them is important not only for yourself but those around you as well. But this can be tough. We’re not going to get unlimited chances to fix these flaws, but having the support of someone you love helps a tremendous amount because they make you want to be a better all-around person.

So to the girls that support us, love us, and make us want be better, thank you, on behalf of guys everywhere. And thank you to Brantley Gilbert for making music with lyrics that are incredibly strong and influential. Check out a live version of “Outlaw In Me” from Brantley below.

“And I just thank God she loves me, even when I don’t know how.”
