Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and single women are trying to hide from their coupled friends so they don’t get reminded about how single they are.
What is the best way for us single ladies to get through this holiday? Turn it into a drinking game. Thanks to this Pucker Mob post, single people can all find joy in the must dreaded holiday.
Take a drink every time someone asks you what your plans are for Valentine’s Day and you are forced to tell them you don’t have any plans. (Like they didn’t already know).
Take another drink if it is followed up with a suggestion of getting all your single friends together.
Take two more drinks if it is followed up by the person telling you that being in a relationship isn’t all that great.
Take three more drinks if it followed up by the person telling you how much money you will save by being single.
Take a drink every time someone asks you if you have tried online dating.
Take another drink if it followed by an anecdote of someone they know who met the love of their life on a dating site.
Take two more drinks if it is followed up by an online dating horror story.
Take three more drinks if the person says they would be too scared to try online dating (so why would you suggest it to me?)
Take a drink every time someone gives you a look of pity over being single.
Take another drink if you get an inspirational speech. I.e “Don’t worry, you will find someone.”
Take two more drinks if the person tells you how lucky they are to be in a relationship. I.e. “I’m so glad that I don’t have to date anymore.”
Take three more drinks when the person tells you how strong you are for being single. I.e. “It takes a strong woman to not need a man in her life.”
Being single doesn’t define you. This Valentine’s Day, be happy for the couples that want to celebrate their love. But do it with a bottle of wine in hand.
